Decided to call flop and see what develops. I instacalled his turn bet to make it look like I had something like JTxxdd or big draw of some sort. That snapcall on turn allowed him to bluffo ff riv. Ship the 400BB pot! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1513129 He mucked Axxxdd. Guy instaquit then joined back 5 mins later, then got stacked his first hand when he rr pf and I flatcalled TTJxss, and flopped top set vs his gutshot+FD. He bricked, and I took another $100 from him. He ran SOO well earlier by coolering me and talkin shit in the chatbox. Karma :)
Random sexy call...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1513193
I shoulda been doing a powerpoint presentation this whole time... I only have MS Office 07 on my laptop, so that sorta got me to talk myself into playing poker instead of work... lol
Oh, and BTW, fixed my PT problem, and now know what the problem is overall! I don't think i can write to a certain part of the C Drive because it's read-only, so the hh did not save. I now have fixed the problem and will be well on my way to checkin my PT stats. It's a good night... but now unfortunately I'll probably have to work on my PowerPoint some (which I don't really mind because I sorta like working with PowerPoint.
*Pt Stats to come in later session; didn't really play many hands while it was working.
Ooo, teh MONNIEZ!
On a side note, just joined the gym today (and the parents r footing the bill- it's fun to live at home for a little while right outta high school...). Did get a VERY VERY good price on the membership tho.
About to go have some chinese leftovers, but I will end with a few hh (not a very interesting day). Hopefuly this pretty long session for me will get me some good rakeback (im predicting $75 or so). PLO is definitely a rele good rakeback-earner, and it definitely helps to be playing 9-12 tables. Maybe I should play 4 a bit more jus grinding shorter sessionf rof un instead of playing so robotically, just so I don't wear myself out.
*BTW, lost some FPP qualifiers to wcoops and stuff, so only have 3600 FPPs left. Today I purchased a STT with Moneymaker (15k fpps), where 4 places pay (1st pays $1k and I think 2nd gets $500 but not quite sure, all the way down to 4th which gets $200), PLUS theres a bounty if you knock out Moneymaker! He overcalls preflop and puts his money in bad neway, so I'm hoping for the best :) I figured since its 9 person tourney, and 4 places pay, I'm going to finish in the $$ at least half the time, which pays between $200 and $1k, and for more points I could get the $200 digi camera I wouldn't rele use. So I figured this was the best bet for sure because it pays out well- problem is PokerStars doesn't tell u when it is and it's on a first come first serve basis! I'll have to be lucky and catch MoneyMaker when he's on. I prob shoulda done one with Hachem since he's on a decent bit, buty he's buy far a superior player.
Hands:
Her seriousyl shoved flop SOO quickly that I wuz like 90% sure he has small pair+gutshot. I was right and I held, and he berated me in chat :) http://www.pokerhand.org/?1511940
Can you say, RELE RELE sick call on a lucky donk who's been chasing and had my number all day!? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512422
I wuz thinking about raising flop, but decided to cold call. He made a rele gross turn call on a card that nearly killed me action (so I overpushed to look like spade draw+pair or something, and he hits the nice standard 2 outer on the riv. Oh, and of course, he runs. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512220
Completely disgusting PLO hand where it wuz SOO close in equity perflop, and I flop two pair WITH a nut flush redraw, where he flops an OESD. He hits the 4 outer on the riv FTW, and I want to throw this beautiful laptop on these shiny hardwood floors. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512299

Not the Most Exciting of Weekends
Other random things:
- Enjoying playing Counterstrike:Source. It was irritating getting everything set up at beginning, like installation, updates, and drivers, but once it's all said and done, glad I did it, because for sure it's a great game to play for 45 mins or so a day. It seriously never gets old at that rate :)
- Looking forward at least to tonight after my Synagogue services to where I can settle down and relax after a long week, and though really have no fun, I know I'll be able to enjoy Stinger's 5/10 nl video from CR
- Hopefully I can get my $1k Tilt roll this weekend!!
- Hopefully can get all necessary hw out of the way PERHAPS tonite but more likely tomorrow so I can have a fun Sunday, which is normally the designated work day. This will be an interesting change... at least I don't have much work to do this weekend! Just a powerpoint presentation and a bit of math review.
So to all my Jews reading this, happy Yom Kippur and let's grind this out with hopefully some of the thoughts in our heads that this holiday was intended for, tho for sure Saturday will definitely be a day of lots of sleep and trying to run on as little gas as possible.
On a side note, found out today that Matusow busted from the WPT Borgata in 6th. VERY disappointing, I was rooting for Matusow 150%. He's the best live poker player in the world IMO, and runs like fuck. This woulda been a sick win for him because it'd be his first WPT title(came in 2nd someone recently to online monster Kevin Saul), and right before Yom Kippur (him being Jewish as well) woulda been rele sick. $1.6m would pay off his debt, give him a nice little playing roll, and help him get outta his gross slump. Winning $290k tho isn't bad, but I'd be pissed for him for sure, because the WPT's structure makes u grind so long and hard and it's disgustingly draining, and he had the chance at that sick $1.6m. W/e, gg Mike, soon enough man.
Shout out to my boy Heir_Aparent... been runnin sorta bad recently. Hope he gets back into poker, and more responsibly (playing over his head and can be compulsive, much like myself). Hopefully he'll grind out a roll and be a college baller, so gl man.

Video Games...
In 4th grade I went to a friend's house to spend the night. It was one of my firsts of those; neway, turned out he had N64, and I thought it was the coolest thing EVER. My friends and I were all so fucking hooked (there were 2 others besides me). I had to wait a year, but I finally got an N64 for the holidays and loved playing Goldeneye007 and Starfox64.
Ended up getting a gamecube, then ps2, then xbox for the holidays (in order, one for each holiday) with some controllers and a game or two. ONLY impressed with gamecube as far as comfortable controller, portability, and Super Smash Bros melee (Super Smash Bros was like tied for best multiplayer game on N64 with Goldeneye). Then PS2 only purchased because I wanted the GTAs. Kept me occupied quite a while and they're all some of the best single-player games ever created, though no multiplayer really hurt replayability (not like there wasn't anything to do after you beat campaign...) Xbox was THE system at the time, which I got the latest. A friend in 5th or 6th grade had an Xbox and i was completely addicted to Halo 1. It was the sickest thing ever and the REASON I bought an Xbox.
My friends and I camped out for an Xbox 360 probably about a month after it came out (shipments were ridic rare). We had tons of fun and were well-prepared with chairs, food, an SUV to sleep in, and a football to throw around. Though lethargic and sleep-deprived in the morning, hapiness oozed from my pores as I acquired an Xbox 360 with Perfect Dark Zero. It lasted a while as a pretty fun game, though it was sort of disappointing to be honest. Perfect Dark was completely amazing on N64, but the control scheme on 360 seriuosly ruined it for me. It was not tight at all... if it was tighter controls I woulda loved it. Seriously had to have ruined the game. So after that I pretty much stuck to playing Halo 2 on the 360, with some occasional PGR3. Then ended up getting Gears of War, which had quite a good multiplayer (though could get old if played excessively). Single player is phenominal and once in a while I'll work on the campaign some.
Halo 2 was definitely fun for a good 5 months or so. The single-player was abysmal IMO but the Multiplayer clearly made Halo2 a must-buy. Some friends and I would always go to some kids houses and play eachother in the presence of snacks and drinks, and just in general very good times were shared playing Halo 2 (reminiscent of Goldeneye times and Halo 1).
Very happy to say I recently found my old Half-Life2 CD, and last nite installed that and counterstrike:source w/ all updates. Very happy- those games were so sweet a while back. I remember HL2 campaign was phenominal and graphics were sick. Took FOREVER. I was eagerly awaiting HL2 after the first Half-Life, which was completely amazing in its own right for single player, but damn, CounterStrike was the most addicting multiplayer game ever for the first few months I was playing it. Half Life 2 deathmatch is also a sick addon, actually free, which I might install later if I get a bit tired of CS:Source. It was soo much fun using the gravity gun and shit, and graphics were of course top-notch. I orginally was apprehensive to installing Steam and HL2 and whatnot since it uses up a ridic amount of HD space and whatnot. Tho I have 500GB hard drive space for both drives on my desktop, it stil does slow down the comp because Steam often runs in the background (the service on which to play all Valve games online). I prob won't purchase the single-player Hl2 addons...
The point is video games are a nice break from reality. I rarely play them nemore, but will play them rather than playing poker when I'm bored (which will be MAJOR MAJOR help to prevent playing poker when bored, but instead when motivated and want to really win $). Definitely looking forward to Halo 3 coming out- the beta demo was pretty fun and the graphics nuts, and controls felt tight. Got a little boring playing same levels, but I'm sure it will be completely sweet when it's finally released. I will still make sure to do my work tho, as well as play bball/football and hang out with friends normally. But video games are good for when it's late at night on a weekend and nothing's on TV, like if I was tired from just gettin in w/ hanging out with friends or somethin. W/e, rant over, updates to come (hopefully when I have my $1k roll on FTP).

Lazy and Ranting...
Very motivated to play poker so hopefully soon enough my friend will ship me that $1k on FTP and i'll just GRIND with my rakeback. I seriously think that I can just play every few days for maybe 2 hour sessions or so, and even be entertained at the smallish stakes. I'll definitely try my best to avoid tilt and do the stop-loss etc. To be honest I'm fully confident in earning back a roll, it's seriously just a matter of time, patience, runnin good, and possibly finding a stake or not.
BTW, saw Munich today. Quite a good movie, very well-written and directed. Good convincing actors, and was pleasantly surprised to see Daniel Craig in it (the new Bond). Good action and convincing effects as well. The movie for sure was artistic, which was where a lot of my liking for it came from. I'd give it an 8/10.
Watching the 2007 WSOP ME now, and see that Minieri is making some good moves, sometimes successful, sometimes he looks like a donk, but damn I thought my chip variance was sick...! It's too bad Dag Martin Mikkelson (dmmikel) went down in this tourney because he was SO fat with chips and from what I can tell, playing well. He'd def be bringing it home for internet players if he had won, but Jerry Yang won, and he's not a bad player by any means. 10x as good as Jamie Gold, tho Jamie's getting better too haha.
Wow I would LOOVE to close this blog with an episode from HSP last nite where hellmuth limp/calls preflop with 44 vs a guy's 23s, flop comes T34 two hearts, hellmuth checks (sammy also called prelfop with JTo). Preflop raiser cbets $30k into the $40k, hellmuth minraise to $60k, sammy thinks a while and folds (shocking sammy folds anything especially since he had the backdoor J high flush draw lool). Other dude shoves pretty quickly with 3 high and no FE, brick, brick, and Hellmuth scoops and breaks even for his time on High stakes Poker. Let's goo Hellmuth! To be honest seriously the live tourney players play pretty badly, limp/calling all the time, check/minraising, etc. Live cash play is EZ. Tho I have some respect for some live tourney players, such as Scotty Nguyen, who plays solidly but also knows when to make moves. I dont' see him coldcalling raises with A9o or defending blinds with like J9o, etc.
Hoping to definitely start playing some poker soon and just grinding small stakes and earning rakeback- the way I figure is if I grind .50/1+ for a month, perhaps 24 hours/month, I can get ~$1k. $12k/ year as long as I don't go broke and hopefully grinding a roll together would make me quite happy. I'd say definitely before I start my actual first year of real college (not community college like now) I should have a nice roll to hopefully grind out some nice party and spending $$ (if i slowly accumulate rb and dont go broke)
Will try to finish some schoolwork now, community college blows... lol Will have to do project tomorrow :-(
