Blog Moving...

I am sad to say that this is my last blog post on this site. I have moved my blog to CardRunners.com, under blogs- IversonXX3's blog. They have just redone their site completely and it's much better and tons of good promotions/features, though just have to get used to it a bit. I'm also posting here because I want to blog, but at my junior college public comp, I cannot log into CR for some reason; it keeps saying I have to register... Neway, saw CTS's 25/50 vid yesterday, and it was very good. Definitely Fridays are the best for videos as far as entertainment value and level of thinking (the high stakes cash game vids). Looking forward to that. My plans tonight are to go to a friends house and maybe spend the night and whatnot. Saturday I can hopefully go out with a lady friend and see what happens w/ dinner and a movie or somethin...

October 6th I'm going to Brad Paisley concert and gonna hopefully have tons of fun w/ friends and go nuts. Country concerts are supposed to be sick, so I don't care if I'm into Country music.

Got a $104 stake from a friend (Heir_Aparent) who just got $1.1k yesterday. He said it was from a bet he made with a friend that he won... (sick that he makes $1.1k bets...) It's a 50/50 stake for me at HU SNGS. I lost a $55 A9 to KK when board was 9224, and river 9, and I paid off riv to end my tourney life. Same happened with QQ to 47 on the 455 flop turn 7 river 4... sooo gross. Did manage to make the nastiest call I've ever made with pretty shallow stacks hu at my $52.50 hu sng. Button limped, I checked with my T4 or 94o or something. Flop comes A84, two spades. I have no spade in my hand. I check/call a flop 100 bet (blinds were 50/100 so pot was 200, so he beth alf pot on flop). Turn comes Qs. I check, he bets 150. I think a bit and call. River is the 4th spade, a 5s. I check, he fires 300 pretty quickly, I tank and call with mybottom pair crappy kicker on the 4 flush and ridic overcard board. He flips 102o and I scoop the pot to take half his chips and have a 3:1 or 4:1 chiplead (don't remember). VERYsick for me and a major confidence booster to correctly thinka bout people's ranges. My thought process: He was limping the button with a wide range, so I would assume he couldn't have a high spade in general, and probably a rele junky hand. Anyway, I c/c the flop because I figure he's not limping an ace, and he's minbetting in position with any hand he's limping the button with for sure. The turn is a good scare card and overcard. So he would certainly check behind a 9 on the turn IMO- he wuz bluffy but not retarded. He bet 150 into the 400 on the turn, perhaps more, I'm not sure. Neway, I thought the ONLY hands he could have are air or Q's. High spade IMO just not possible cuz he'd raise (he'd been aggressive with a high spade). River comes the 4th spade. Board is A84Q5ssss board. He fires 300 into the 600 pot or so (i know my math of the pot size sux I'll post hh soon- sry!) I tank. He bets the river spade. He's not betting two pair, he's not betting a straight, and he's not betting a low spade for value because I c/c the turn, so most likely I had pair+decent spade draw. I put him on nothing for those reasons, and made like the most nutso call I've ever made in my life. By no means the most influential amount of money I'd been playing for ($50 hu sng), but I woulda NEVER thought of making this call in my LIFE a few months ago, so I think I'm getting better and more theoretical, as well as my head clearing up.

Goal- My roll now is $220. When I get a chance, I'll play a $220 hu sng, then hopefully I can get to the next level... if I'm a little short to do that I'll playa nother $220. So if I have to do that, I'll have a $600 roll, I'm going to play a $500 hu sng, then a $1k, and so forth I'd say... I'm just goi all out- I seriously think I'm a very good HU sng player. In actuality I only ahve to win 4 sngs in a row, 3 of which at double the stakes, to get a $2k roll (so technically a $1k roll after I pay him his part of the stake). If I get that $1k roll, I'll make sure to grind 6max sngs or HU sngs with decent rolls, mainly playing when motivated, NOT when bored or w/e. I really do have confidence in my MTT, STT, and HU SNG game, just I need to run ok and win races, which is soo tough. Pce.

Cooling Off...

Alrite, feeling better from yesterday. I'll try not to think of all the small rolls I've busted from running like balls...However, there has been some definite good that has come of it:

1. Went to the Gym today and had a lot of fun. I will hopefully be more motivated to do things rite now because poker is no longer an option

2. PLAYING HALO 3 RITE NOW AND IT'S FUCKING SICK AS HELL...the graphics are the nuts for sure, and the gameplay is a nice mix of the old and the new. It sorta feels a bit like halo 1 with refined parts of halo 2. I might have to continue mooching off an online wireless network because I don't believe this fucking fancy-ass new router we have here is compatible with the Xbox 360 wireless adapter or my HP Pavilion Notebook.

3. Will hopefully have some more time for schoolwork

Hopefully I can get a stake soon and play an hour or so every other day to be opposite of my lifting schedule...that'd be the ultimate life balance.

My Poker-Playing is Seriously a Fucking Joke

Yup, bust my whole $2400 roll that I grinded up from $1k two days ago? Oh, why? Well I showed the bad beats on the other blog post, then I bubble a 9man STT when I raised twice in a row and got shoved on by SAME fucking guy BOTH times, and I had enough chips to fold a9 and 55. Calling it all off is bad. Then the third hand in a row I had ATdd with 88BB. I shove with that, same fucking guy calls my push, he has AQ. Board bricks. Thank the Lord my life is fucking good. I run SOO fucking bad it's such a stupid fucking joke. Poker gets me so fucking depressed when I run bad, almost as bad as if I were to play bad. It's SOO disgustlingly sick. It's so easy to bust a roll >$4k in a few hours if you run bad. My luck is so unbelieavble it's disgusting... yesterday ran pretty well and won 10 BI in a total of 4 hours. Lose ~11 BI tonite (playing above roll) in like a fucking hour and a half just gettin bad beated, coolered, and just fucking leveled. In PLO, I lost a $800 pot at $2/$4 hu vs a donk when I buttonraised AA94 with clubs, dude repotted to $36. I thought a bit and decided wtf I'll just repot. He called. Flop comes 834, two hearts, he pots the flop, I shove for maybe $10 more, he calls showing Q83K with two fucking hearts. What a GREAT FUCKING 3BET PREFLOP AND COLDCALLING 4BET OOP for 1/3 ur stack. Well fucking done. I obv brick because he completely stuck his cock in that flop's ass, and theres' a nice $400 from my diminishing roll...

I feel so bad; I just need to play on a fucking stake. I know my roll management would be a lot better cuz my staker would most likely sweat me some and tell me when I'm playing well or poorly, runnin bad, etc. They'd keep my head straight. I guarantee if I had an assistant at poker, with all the rolls I've busted and all the more time I would be playing, I'd say I'd have won $40k more in the past few years. Yea, SICK. That though right there puts me on life tilt. Was this busting my roll for the better? Maybe. Was it a sign from God to chill on poker until college and when I have a job? Maybe....Will I EVER PLAY AGAIN LATE AT NITE WHEN I ALWAYS 100% RUN LIKE FUCK... never. EVER. It's the dumbest fucking superstition ever, but I would bet damn good money it's been true 96% of my late night sessions. Fuck this is completely gross. At least I expect maybe $300 back in rakeback?

My goals for the rest of this year:

1. Take that $300 roll and not play cash games at all, but rather some $24 small donkaments or sngs or somethin and try to grind something out.
2. Try to run good in those MTTs/SNGs
3. Lift and get bigger
4. Good grades and work harder/study

That's it... normal shit for a student. Yea, not to bust another small roll would be a nice fucking start.

Holy Shit, I run Bad at Night

This is the fucking most distuginst shit ever...

Biggest fucking joke of a hand I've ever seen... I dont remember seeing a hand played WORSE by a villain, then the AWEFUL AWEFUL SUCKOUT... unREAAAL http://www.pokerhand.org/?1517024

Roll=$1400. Dropping $1075 in like an hour...runnin good feels good

Terrible Suckout... 5:1 shot on the river for him, 4:1 underdog preflop, on flop he was 10:1 dog. Gross. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1516941

Ran good earlier...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1516330

I run well BEFORE night begins...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1516321

It's not my fault I run like FUCK at night...play well I mean shit wtf can I do

Pretty Good Day

Today won 3 1/4 BIs for $375. Roll is now $2375, so I'm feeling pretty well at this point. Playing my A game not getting worn out or tilting. I'm definitely humbled from long ago...

Stats: 2200 hands playing 32/28/4.6 winning $514@1.59bb/100 (I'd say that this is incorrect on amoutn I won from NLHE... I would assume some hh last nite mixed in- the date setting is not working on my PT). I made a good run in my PLO game today and ended with $650 at a $100 max buyin table (started with $65). So decitupling my buyin (if that's a word...!?) is quite nice... I think I probably broke even for NLHE today and won in general in PLO (lost a bit at some other tables...)

Some HH:
Nice PLO pot where I got lucky on the river after terrible turn card... I don't mind other dude's iso shove, and AAxxdd is going to stick it all in on this flop neday. I decided once other dude shoved over AAxx's continution bet, I figured him for some sort of gutshot+ diamond draw. I stuck my chips in fairly quickly because I was almost sure he didn't have 67. Sure enough he had pair+gutshot+overs; a bit of a loose shove with me still behind, he lucksacked turn, I resucked riv :) 300BB pot feels gooot http://www.pokerhand.org/?1515505

I definitely thought about whether I wanted to see the turn by just calling the flop 4bet. I think decided that with the possibilty of him having a gutshot and lower club draw or maybe T's with pair+gutshot, I just stuck it in. I hit the best turn card for me without making my hand and it held. I was 56.5% fav on flop and 83% on turn. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1515516

Just a SICK flop for the both of us... very lucky I wasn't deeper. I mean I flopped top pair+wrap. His hand rele did sorta suck for my hand, but still, I think I'm like 60:40 to win neway on flop. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1515567

This guy had been playing very solidly, though I had been beating him definitely in some pots, with some very strong semibluffs. Very suprised at his donkish play- I wuz committed to calling because felt too much of his range was 1 pair+draw, so I was ~50/50 most of the time getting like over 2:1 on flop call of his push. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1515659

Very sexy float... starting stacks are about $150. I got C/r on the flop and didn't figure him for much. If I 3bet, he's calling or shoving a fairly wide range, since often 7x or 3's full won't 4bomb this flop (in my spot), and neither would a bit pair. Neway, I decided to float and called. Turn came a nice scare card, and now two draws on the board. My range to him was... 7x, 3s full, Axss, big spades (which probably 4bet flop) but not Axss, and big pairs. My line tho looked most likely like Axss or the flopped joint. By raising the turn he folds out any mid/small pairs he'll c/r with, any bluffs, and all spade draws but Axss. That way he folds out all of his range but 7x or 33, and I got money out of bluffs, draws, and smallish/mid pairs. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1515691

On a side note, a little frustrated because at my house my dad finished installing the wireless network. I was not a fan of the whole thing, but once done, I've come to enjoy the significantly less amount of cables around the house. Then for some reason my wireless card in my laptop won't detect it, so since I have only one of these external wireless cards, I might just have to stick to using it and not being able to be on desktop and laptop at once!!! :-( I'll try to resolve the problem soon, not quite sure how tho...

First time I've ran well at night, and feeling VERY well. Ran like complete shit at first then recovered and had a normal mindset (avoided tilting), which definitely shows myself some definite progress in keeping in a proper mental state. Roll is a nice $1950, and I probably earned like $100 in rakeback today, in addition to the $180 from earlier this month.

Decided to call flop and see what develops. I instacalled his turn bet to make it look like I had something like JTxxdd or big draw of some sort. That snapcall on turn allowed him to bluffo ff riv. Ship the 400BB pot! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1513129 He mucked Axxxdd. Guy instaquit then joined back 5 mins later, then got stacked his first hand when he rr pf and I flatcalled TTJxss, and flopped top set vs his gutshot+FD. He bricked, and I took another $100 from him. He ran SOO well earlier by coolering me and talkin shit in the chatbox. Karma :)

Random sexy call...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1513193

I shoulda been doing a powerpoint presentation this whole time... I only have MS Office 07 on my laptop, so that sorta got me to talk myself into playing poker instead of work... lol

Oh, and BTW, fixed my PT problem, and now know what the problem is overall! I don't think i can write to a certain part of the C Drive because it's read-only, so the hh did not save. I now have fixed the problem and will be well on my way to checkin my PT stats. It's a good night... but now unfortunately I'll probably have to work on my PowerPoint some (which I don't really mind because I sorta like working with PowerPoint.

*Pt Stats to come in later session; didn't really play many hands while it was working.

Ooo, teh MONNIEZ!

So FINALLY got my $1k shipment today on FTP. Been playin a sick long session... from like 2:30 until now- about 6pm. Quite a long session for me. Neway, peaked at $1570, but after some bad beats/coolers/suckouts/donkaments, I'm ending at $1270. For playing $.25/.50, a +$270 day is for sure good (+5.5 BI). I'm QUITE frustrated tho that my FTP HH is not saving.

On a side note, just joined the gym today (and the parents r footing the bill- it's fun to live at home for a little while right outta high school...). Did get a VERY VERY good price on the membership tho.

About to go have some chinese leftovers, but I will end with a few hh (not a very interesting day). Hopefuly this pretty long session for me will get me some good rakeback (im predicting $75 or so). PLO is definitely a rele good rakeback-earner, and it definitely helps to be playing 9-12 tables. Maybe I should play 4 a bit more jus grinding shorter sessionf rof un instead of playing so robotically, just so I don't wear myself out.

*BTW, lost some FPP qualifiers to wcoops and stuff, so only have 3600 FPPs left. Today I purchased a STT with Moneymaker (15k fpps), where 4 places pay (1st pays $1k and I think 2nd gets $500 but not quite sure, all the way down to 4th which gets $200), PLUS theres a bounty if you knock out Moneymaker! He overcalls preflop and puts his money in bad neway, so I'm hoping for the best :) I figured since its 9 person tourney, and 4 places pay, I'm going to finish in the $$ at least half the time, which pays between $200 and $1k, and for more points I could get the $200 digi camera I wouldn't rele use. So I figured this was the best bet for sure because it pays out well- problem is PokerStars doesn't tell u when it is and it's on a first come first serve basis! I'll have to be lucky and catch MoneyMaker when he's on. I prob shoulda done one with Hachem since he's on a decent bit, buty he's buy far a superior player.

Hands:
Her seriousyl shoved flop SOO quickly that I wuz like 90% sure he has small pair+gutshot. I was right and I held, and he berated me in chat :) http://www.pokerhand.org/?1511940

Can you say, RELE RELE sick call on a lucky donk who's been chasing and had my number all day!? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512422

I wuz thinking about raising flop, but decided to cold call. He made a rele gross turn call on a card that nearly killed me action (so I overpushed to look like spade draw+pair or something, and he hits the nice standard 2 outer on the riv. Oh, and of course, he runs. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512220

Completely disgusting PLO hand where it wuz SOO close in equity perflop, and I flop two pair WITH a nut flush redraw, where he flops an OESD. He hits the 4 outer on the riv FTW, and I want to throw this beautiful laptop on these shiny hardwood floors. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1512299

Holy Shit, that Was Hard

Yom Kippur is officially over. I have not eaten for the past 27 hours. About 15 mins ago I had a cookie, some grapes, and a piece of bread at the Synagogue. It felt damn good. As I'm writing this, my dad's bringing home some Kung Pao Chicken, Sesame Beef, Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Foo Young, and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. Mmm, shipit. This was the longest I believe I've ever fasted, and it was completely sick. However, it did seem to go by a bit faster since I just blew off like 3.5 hours after I first got home from Synagogue today at 1:30 when I slept. No matter how long I'll sleep, I'll still feel ridic tired w/o food. LOL Yom Kippuraments. Neway, i'll chill with some friends tonite after I break the fast with this lovely chinese dinner with the family, and i'll c what it do with the poker $$. If I can get it within the next week I'll be happy... I've held off the addiction long enough lol. Luckily not too much work to do this weekend also. I was seriously rendered incapable of ANY mental or physical labor this past 27 hours. It was pretty gross. I shall now sit down to a bit of CounterStrike and wait for dinner here and then to head out.

Not the Most Exciting of Weekends

For the next 24 hours (beginning at 6:30), it will be Yom Kippur, the holiest of all Jewish Holidays. It's the nuts of Judaism for sure. Yom Kippur literally translates to "Day of Atonement," therefore it is a time to reflect one's sins and how they will be changed in the future. It will be interesting reflecting, but grueling to turn down social activities for this weekend... especially after a sorta strenuous week of work. I seriously live my life weekend to weekend, so this is sorta a rare blow to my weekend fun. I guess it's bigger than me...Oh and btw, from now until tomorrow at like 6:30 I cannot eat a single thing. Yea, sux. You're technically not supposed to drink water, but seriously I think that's a little far. The goal: to focus on your sins. However, this does exactly the opposite, so it's prob really for more of punitive purposes. At least I just had a delicious meal, consisting of 10oz filet mignon, asparagus, and french fries...mmm Ship it.

Other random things:
  • Enjoying playing Counterstrike:Source. It was irritating getting everything set up at beginning, like installation, updates, and drivers, but once it's all said and done, glad I did it, because for sure it's a great game to play for 45 mins or so a day. It seriously never gets old at that rate :)
  • Looking forward at least to tonight after my Synagogue services to where I can settle down and relax after a long week, and though really have no fun, I know I'll be able to enjoy Stinger's 5/10 nl video from CR
  • Hopefully I can get my $1k Tilt roll this weekend!!
  • Hopefully can get all necessary hw out of the way PERHAPS tonite but more likely tomorrow so I can have a fun Sunday, which is normally the designated work day. This will be an interesting change... at least I don't have much work to do this weekend! Just a powerpoint presentation and a bit of math review.

So to all my Jews reading this, happy Yom Kippur and let's grind this out with hopefully some of the thoughts in our heads that this holiday was intended for, tho for sure Saturday will definitely be a day of lots of sleep and trying to run on as little gas as possible.

On a side note, found out today that Matusow busted from the WPT Borgata in 6th. VERY disappointing, I was rooting for Matusow 150%. He's the best live poker player in the world IMO, and runs like fuck. This woulda been a sick win for him because it'd be his first WPT title(came in 2nd someone recently to online monster Kevin Saul), and right before Yom Kippur (him being Jewish as well) woulda been rele sick. $1.6m would pay off his debt, give him a nice little playing roll, and help him get outta his gross slump. Winning $290k tho isn't bad, but I'd be pissed for him for sure, because the WPT's structure makes u grind so long and hard and it's disgustingly draining, and he had the chance at that sick $1.6m. W/e, gg Mike, soon enough man.

Shout out to my boy Heir_Aparent... been runnin sorta bad recently. Hope he gets back into poker, and more responsibly (playing over his head and can be compulsive, much like myself). Hopefully he'll grind out a roll and be a college baller, so gl man.

Video Games...

So today I'll actually make a blog about video games. I prob started playing them when I was Kingergarten when my great grandma bout my sis and I an NES. It was real legit, brand-new tech, etc. I was hooked on Mariokart, Killer Instinct, and the Mortal Kombats.

In 4th grade I went to a friend's house to spend the night. It was one of my firsts of those; neway, turned out he had N64, and I thought it was the coolest thing EVER. My friends and I were all so fucking hooked (there were 2 others besides me). I had to wait a year, but I finally got an N64 for the holidays and loved playing Goldeneye007 and Starfox64.

Ended up getting a gamecube, then ps2, then xbox for the holidays (in order, one for each holiday) with some controllers and a game or two. ONLY impressed with gamecube as far as comfortable controller, portability, and Super Smash Bros melee (Super Smash Bros was like tied for best multiplayer game on N64 with Goldeneye). Then PS2 only purchased because I wanted the GTAs. Kept me occupied quite a while and they're all some of the best single-player games ever created, though no multiplayer really hurt replayability (not like there wasn't anything to do after you beat campaign...) Xbox was THE system at the time, which I got the latest. A friend in 5th or 6th grade had an Xbox and i was completely addicted to Halo 1. It was the sickest thing ever and the REASON I bought an Xbox.

My friends and I camped out for an Xbox 360 probably about a month after it came out (shipments were ridic rare). We had tons of fun and were well-prepared with chairs, food, an SUV to sleep in, and a football to throw around. Though lethargic and sleep-deprived in the morning, hapiness oozed from my pores as I acquired an Xbox 360 with Perfect Dark Zero. It lasted a while as a pretty fun game, though it was sort of disappointing to be honest. Perfect Dark was completely amazing on N64, but the control scheme on 360 seriuosly ruined it for me. It was not tight at all... if it was tighter controls I woulda loved it. Seriously had to have ruined the game. So after that I pretty much stuck to playing Halo 2 on the 360, with some occasional PGR3. Then ended up getting Gears of War, which had quite a good multiplayer (though could get old if played excessively). Single player is phenominal and once in a while I'll work on the campaign some.

Halo 2 was definitely fun for a good 5 months or so. The single-player was abysmal IMO but the Multiplayer clearly made Halo2 a must-buy. Some friends and I would always go to some kids houses and play eachother in the presence of snacks and drinks, and just in general very good times were shared playing Halo 2 (reminiscent of Goldeneye times and Halo 1).

Very happy to say I recently found my old Half-Life2 CD, and last nite installed that and counterstrike:source w/ all updates. Very happy- those games were so sweet a while back. I remember HL2 campaign was phenominal and graphics were sick. Took FOREVER. I was eagerly awaiting HL2 after the first Half-Life, which was completely amazing in its own right for single player, but damn, CounterStrike was the most addicting multiplayer game ever for the first few months I was playing it. Half Life 2 deathmatch is also a sick addon, actually free, which I might install later if I get a bit tired of CS:Source. It was soo much fun using the gravity gun and shit, and graphics were of course top-notch. I orginally was apprehensive to installing Steam and HL2 and whatnot since it uses up a ridic amount of HD space and whatnot. Tho I have 500GB hard drive space for both drives on my desktop, it stil does slow down the comp because Steam often runs in the background (the service on which to play all Valve games online). I prob won't purchase the single-player Hl2 addons...

The point is video games are a nice break from reality. I rarely play them nemore, but will play them rather than playing poker when I'm bored (which will be MAJOR MAJOR help to prevent playing poker when bored, but instead when motivated and want to really win $). Definitely looking forward to Halo 3 coming out- the beta demo was pretty fun and the graphics nuts, and controls felt tight. Got a little boring playing same levels, but I'm sure it will be completely sweet when it's finally released. I will still make sure to do my work tho, as well as play bball/football and hang out with friends normally. But video games are good for when it's late at night on a weekend and nothing's on TV, like if I was tired from just gettin in w/ hanging out with friends or somethin. W/e, rant over, updates to come (hopefully when I have my $1k roll on FTP).

Lazy and Ranting...

Alright so just felt like gettin a few random things outta my system, so w/e. I'm very unmotivated as far as school, but I'll try my best...just a few more months of grinndin...

Very motivated to play poker so hopefully soon enough my friend will ship me that $1k on FTP and i'll just GRIND with my rakeback. I seriously think that I can just play every few days for maybe 2 hour sessions or so, and even be entertained at the smallish stakes. I'll definitely try my best to avoid tilt and do the stop-loss etc. To be honest I'm fully confident in earning back a roll, it's seriously just a matter of time, patience, runnin good, and possibly finding a stake or not.

BTW, saw Munich today. Quite a good movie, very well-written and directed. Good convincing actors, and was pleasantly surprised to see Daniel Craig in it (the new Bond). Good action and convincing effects as well. The movie for sure was artistic, which was where a lot of my liking for it came from. I'd give it an 8/10.

Watching the 2007 WSOP ME now, and see that Minieri is making some good moves, sometimes successful, sometimes he looks like a donk, but damn I thought my chip variance was sick...! It's too bad Dag Martin Mikkelson (dmmikel) went down in this tourney because he was SO fat with chips and from what I can tell, playing well. He'd def be bringing it home for internet players if he had won, but Jerry Yang won, and he's not a bad player by any means. 10x as good as Jamie Gold, tho Jamie's getting better too haha.

Wow I would LOOVE to close this blog with an episode from HSP last nite where hellmuth limp/calls preflop with 44 vs a guy's 23s, flop comes T34 two hearts, hellmuth checks (sammy also called prelfop with JTo). Preflop raiser cbets $30k into the $40k, hellmuth minraise to $60k, sammy thinks a while and folds (shocking sammy folds anything especially since he had the backdoor J high flush draw lool). Other dude shoves pretty quickly with 3 high and no FE, brick, brick, and Hellmuth scoops and breaks even for his time on High stakes Poker. Let's goo Hellmuth! To be honest seriously the live tourney players play pretty badly, limp/calling all the time, check/minraising, etc. Live cash play is EZ. Tho I have some respect for some live tourney players, such as Scotty Nguyen, who plays solidly but also knows when to make moves. I dont' see him coldcalling raises with A9o or defending blinds with like J9o, etc.

Hoping to definitely start playing some poker soon and just grinding small stakes and earning rakeback- the way I figure is if I grind .50/1+ for a month, perhaps 24 hours/month, I can get ~$1k. $12k/ year as long as I don't go broke and hopefully grinding a roll together would make me quite happy. I'd say definitely before I start my actual first year of real college (not community college like now) I should have a nice roll to hopefully grind out some nice party and spending $$ (if i slowly accumulate rb and dont go broke)

Will try to finish some schoolwork now, community college blows... lol Will have to do project tomorrow :-(

Annette_15 wins first WSOPE ME!

To be honest, I'm truly proud of her accomplishment. Not ONLY is she the youngest WSOP bracelet winner in history, let alone Main Event winner, but she's also obviously a woman internet pro. This seriously proves so many things and is an accomplishment on many levels. Hopefully this will give internet players some more recognition. I cannot wait to see how she played at that final table and whatnot. Rele sick accomplishment. I'd go out on a limb and say she's best woman tournament player for sure, and in 2nd probably I'd say Jen Harman (who I've heard got 2nd in a WSOPE event). To be honest I rank almost all online tourney players over live players (unless in very deepstacked play, in which case it's not as one-sided). Annette gets to pocket that 2 million, the sweet bracelet, and the amazing recognition as the first woman to get a WSOP bracelet and the first winner of the WSOPE.

Pokerless Update

So, if you read my last post, you know I have not had the opportunity to play poker because I had to take all my $ offline. Yea, so, def sux but shit happens. I'm happy I am taking a year off before college, though I will be taking a few classes as part of a deal with my parents at the local community college. As far as poker goes, I'm still looking for a backer and a live game. I am def low on cash since I bought my laptop in cash, so if I do find a live game, I'll need money on the finger (the people that would hook me up with a live game would know I'm respectable and would vouch for me). I'm still living at home unfortunately, so my affairs, especially online poker (which my parents are growing increasingly-weary of) are somewhat public. My room is fairly messy, and I'm definitely looking forward to dorm life where I can hopefully be forced to stick to the bare necessities. The problem is I have many electronics, and well, I'm fairly untrusting, so I might have to hide them from my roomate/lock them up. It sounds ridic paranoid, but seriously, that's sorta my personality as far as my valueables go. It will give me peace of mind when locking up $1500+ in valueables, especially in college when everyone's pretty much broke. Hopefully I can start up havin a roll before dorm life!!

Random thoughts:
  • No particularly good movies out, so I have not seen any. I was really looking forward to Balls of Fury, though after hearing the pretty bad reviews, my interests in that movie have sizzled down exponentially.
  • Halo 3 comes out September 25, so I'm for sure getting a copy of that. Bought Crackdown a while ago merely for the Beta test; found out Crackdown was actually quite fun so it was not a waste of $ at all, though a fairly short campaign... :-( But amusing all the same, with elements of GTA3, an Action-Adventure Game, a Shooter, and some nice character upgrading with MANY powerups and challenges located across the virtual world. Halo 3 beta was pretty fun, but disappointing. Playing 3 levels was quite dull, especially without all the vehicles/weapons available, though very good at satisfying the itch to try out the new Halo.
  • Been enjoying playing Piano quite a bit. Being at home, we have a pretty nice Yamaha upright, and I reall like the feel of it. I'm quite satisfied that the Piano has come back to me since I took 3 years of lessons but that was when I was like 8 to 11 years old. Hopefully I'll have a nice keyboard to take to college, and perhaps even record some of my shit with my laptop and a little music recording software...?
  • Quite soon I really plan on joining a gym and going 3 or 4x/week, followed by a nutrition supplement or two (like whey protein available at GNC) with perhaps a pre and post-workout nutrition plan. A healthy body ensues a healthy mind, so I am told, so we'll c what happens. However, with this plan, I'll prob need to get to sleep earlier.
  • I'm quite excited because I get my WII in the mail soon! I'm still deciding on whether or not to get that digital camera or not from Stars with the points, still deciding. I still have 24k FTP points to use, but I'd say Stars bar-none has the best FPP store available. Full Tilt's selection is a bit limited for the mid point ranges, but once you get up into the 100k+ point ranges, their selection is pretty decent. I'm really only interested in electronics.

So just been having fun lately, driving my car, playin with some gadges, enjoyin my music, hanging out with friends, eating some tasty food, etc etc. Unfortunately am about to start some work for some of those classes I was mentioning. Seriously the hardest part for me is the motivation to START. Once I've sat down and started I really pretty much am motivated ENOUGH to finish. Ne recommendations on helping me to start hw, please let me know, as well as study. Studying is seriously my downfall.

Goals (in no particular order)

  • Have effective homework/study system ready and focus on grades
  • Lift 3-4x a week and improve at least one kind of lift every week, as well as having workout plan and nutrition plan set up and implemented
  • Get my stake and get into a live game (while having some cash ready to play with)
  • Have a steady schedule of school, lifting, relaxation like video games and chillin w/ friends, and poker (all in balance and harmony)

Thank you for listening to this wonderful rant. The goals are all laid out for the world to see in cyberspace. Please wish me luck in my goals for this year- these are both short-term and long-term goals TBH, but by this summer, hopefully I will have everything laid out and just slowly achieve my view of success via these means. I will now go grab a nice Sunkist soda, which though is caffeine free, will hopefully give me a bit of a taste and energy buzz to help me begin my tedious grind of hw/projects that must be done.

Important Announcement

Financial restraints have unfortunately made me cash out all my bankroll. I had to pay for expensive car repairs, bills, and credit card debt. My bank account was also fairly low. I am afraid that I will not be able to play online poker for a while... :-( I was doing quite well and I'm very happy it has provided me with these much-needed and sudden funds.

I have been looking for a backer, and I believe I have found one. He's a very good regular at mid-high stakes and has been backing a few people. He is trustworthy within the poker community, and hopefully being associated with him will not only also elevate my status a bit, but will also improve my creditibility among the online poker world, and of course, make me a better player :). I will either get staked at 1/2 nl or 2/4 nl I think. I have sent him my PT database and he can see I'm a good solid winning NLHE 6max and HU player. I'm looking forward to playing on a stake, since it will definitely be a good mutual deal. I'm also looking forward to accumulating some rakeback. Greg (potential backer) might have me put on UB, and will also sweat me some sessions to see how i play. I've never played on UB for money so should be quite interesting... made an account there a while ago and signed up for RB tho so I'm good :). Updates to come if I get staked! Hopefully he gives me a chance and we both make some good $$$.

Can't believe I forgot

I cannot believe I forgot to plug my good poker friend's blog. I coulda sworn I did, but maybe somehow that post got moved...? Who knows. Anyway, after some deliberation, I finally talked him into getting a blog of his own. He's a very good player, just on a bit of a bad run and suffers from poor bankroll management (but don't we all have that problem). I think we're going to have a nice session today where he ships me $500, I put in my $500, and we take that $1k and shortstack the 25/50 game mutually (we each come to an agreement on what the correct play is in a situation, so nobody takes the blame for an action). His blog is: http://heiraparent.blogspot.com/. Enjoy reading it; he's a good guy and a good player, so he should have some good stuff posted.

Interesting HU session

This guy played pretty erratically IMO HU and got lucky on me a few times. The game played verrrry fast, where there were many big pots where it just came down to who could make that final ballsy play to take the pot. Every other hand was a reraise, and since we had deep stacks often, there was tons of playing reraised pots.

KK gets cracked by a RETARDED turn gambling call of my C/RAI. He beats NOTHING on the turn...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450191

Pissed off from being pretty stuck. 22 ON THE A485T board= teh nooootz! Xpert shove by him with like no FE
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450204

Nasty bluff I would nromaly never try but i just thoguht he would be just calling down two streets mid pair; Kx would def call this riv for sure. I bet the turn again becaues he's folding probably a lot of hands, and i have a monster draw. made a pretty nasty bluff on this riv and scooooped. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450242

I love my play here because I made a flop bluff in the SAME way on the last board of this similiar texture (Axx thats pretty drawy). Neway, checked behind turn w/ a million outs becuase I assumed he wuz calling the turn bet a lot. Neway, hit my hand on riv, he bet big, and I felt there was probably little value in raising becuz I wouldn't get called by less, but now that I think about it, he quickly bet riv. That would probably mean that he had a hand he wanted to bet earlier (this time he wuz bluffing tho), tho in that case the heart woudln't have helped him, therefore I could make a nice valueshove. Neway, w/e, took a nice one. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450247

Pretty much the final pot that made me come back HU :) Std reraise preflop the way the game was playing. Standard flop cbet on a pretty clean board. Because it's so clean and innocuous, I decided to fire a 2nd barrel on the turn, figuring something like a mid pair with no heart just couldn't call. I hit the nice backdoor straight, and figured that i don't think he'd vbet then call a river c/r, so therefore I just bet myself ~70% of the pot. I probably woulda made the call in that situation too no the riv, but it woulda been very close. The game was playing QUITE aggressively, so if I thought about it long the onlyr eason I would call the riv would be curiosity, since really the preflop reraiser (me in this case) would be repping nothing other than a flush or TPGK at the worst. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450249

Ok, so good session for about an hour and a half tonite. Wuz stuck as much as $3k but ccame back and won about $1k!. Roll= THE BIG 20K, with a nice 38k in fpps haha. I sooo wish I could play on Full tilt for the rakeback- It'd be sick I'd probably make an extra $4k/month!!! I mean damn, I might have to switch over to FTP now that I really think about it, because I'm losing a lot of $$... Yes I want to be a supernova on stars, but at the same time, I mean damn, I'm losin soo much $ by not using my Rakeback it's sick. Updates to come... g'night!

New "Business" Purchse and Nice Day

Ok, for the next week or so, no PT stats. However, won about $2k in a session lasting around 1.5 hours. Mad e anice comeback because was stuck $2k. 4000/600=~5.5 buyin swing today. Mentally its a bit painful, but it's so amazingly nice to have the roll to back it up. Ok, will psot some hands in a moment. Here's a link to the beautiful laptop I bought today from Microcenter. Spent a total of $906- $800 laptop, $90 service plan, $10 wireless optical mouse lol and $12 network cable. Layed down 9 benjamins to this old lady and thought her slight wincing was a funny reaction to it.

Hands:
This guy's really aggro and already stacked me once after a misclick. With one over and NFD, blind on blind, I felt w/ some nice FE and probably a 45:55 underdog I shoved. Nice pot I won here to his two pair :)
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449358

My disgusting misclick early into my laptop play...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449338

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449249 ]- big semibluff suck and resuck

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449330 -HUUUUGE tilt from him I guess he thought he could get me to fold QT, QJ, 77-99, AT, JT, and 9T. The truth is, I probably fold all those hands, so I don't mind his play. But damn thats sick to shove that turn drawing dead if called.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449263 - His hand wuz like 62/48 fav over mine, so std play
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449314 - vs a loose/passive guy who played pretty predictably hu made this nice vbet but he took me for a lot of money in this session because ran RELE well
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449245 - tried something I almost NEVER do but with some metagame in my thoughts. Got hime to shove w/ worse which I expected

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449295 - gettin paid on value shove. A little surprised he snapcalled me w/ worse- I expecetd him to have flush when he snapcalled, Aces up, etc.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1449280 - Very close to betting again on turn but I thought I'd just get shoved on SOO much I'd c/c and reeval riv to try to keep pot bit small. Made a nice riv vbet.

All in all, pretty good session. I'm quite happy with winning $2050 in an hour and a half, and I'm loving my new HP Laptop. Here's link to it...Now I realize the problem with postponing my work for college cuz it has to be done now :-(

Good Day, Ready to Move Up

Roll=$17k. My starting roll was $14.4k, so I made $2600 in 755 hands @ 25BB/100 playign 29/25/5. I think I played quite well but ran well in NLHE and made some very good reads. I dumped ~$1k in PLO unfortunately, mainly from dumb big bluffs but from 1 or 2 colddecks/bad beats. W/e, making $2600 in a day at 2/4 nl is still pretty sick to me (6.5 BI), ESPECIALLY in 755 hands. Some interesting hands definitely to post.

Today it will first be the losers: Here I couldn't just call the riv because I could TELL I was getting vbetted, and I knew he wuz a pretty good player, so I felt that if I shoved he needed AQ+ to call me, which based on the riv value bet, I just couldn't put him on. He TANNNKEd and calld me w/ AJ. I'm not shoving worse on the riv 99% of the time, but unfortunately, I don't like calling there in that exact moment and I knew he knew I wuzn't shoving weaker almost 100% of the time. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445075

Lost a flip- I raised to 5x preflop because of the limper UTG. I know TalentedTom knows that I would do this raise a lot with somewhat marginal hands as well as strong ones just to isolate and go HU vs the limper. So he reraised me, and I figured I don't think he has to have AA-QQ or AK to do this. Therefore I wouldn't be in bad shape vs a decent bit of his range, so I reraised to $190 to commit myself to calling a shove. I called and bricked out vs his JJ :( http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445083

Lost flip vs Elky AI pf when I was shorstacking 10/20. I came back later http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445089

Winners:

Made a good flop check behind here because I know this NAILLLS Elky's range. He bet big on the turn, and because I knew that he put me on Ax after the flop check, I figured he'd definitely be willing to felt his hand, w/e he had. Standard river play sfrom both of his- him with the two pair and me when I nailed the backdoor flush. Shippp it! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445097

Won a huge flip HU- very standard for us both. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445107

Not even kidding I woulda open-folded his hand because if he raises and I shove he'll be in a nasty spot, if he limps I guess it's not terrible, and if he open folds he's not risking $400 to win $20... I'm not calling him with worse than A7... MAYBE I'd call him with KQs but that's it the rest of the time I have him crushed or ONCE in a while flipping at best. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445116

Glad I didn't go for turn C/RAI vs TalentedTom cuz he might have checked behind this turn. He's a very cautious but good solid player. I definitely don't like having him at my table, but I think I have a bit of an edge on him HU to be honest. Neway, I made my hand on the flop, played it RELE fast, and got paid. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1445119

*About to move up to $3/6 nl, tho if I run bad or the swings r too sick I'll drop down and continue to grind 2/4 nl or maybe even cash out half my roll and grind the 1/2 nl and plo games, we'll c what happens tomorrow.

Seriously Sick Variance

Anyway, many interesting hands. However, this time in my favor! Hour session earned back all the $2400 I lost an hour earlier, plus 200 more!! shipppp it! This is seriously getting sick tho I might just move down to 1/2 and grind because the money swings r insaaannne.

Hands: Big PLO pot http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441981

SICK call hu where I got tricky by donking the flop fairly strong http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441939

SICK SICK CALL http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441962

Put this guy on major tilt hu from the previous two calls of bluffs lol: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441981

Surprised he doesn't shove pre with AQ... neway I shoulda bet more on flop but I wanted him to shove any two expecting me to fold because it looked like I had scared AJ-AK or somethin. Neway, he called....(?) and turned his gin card. Ah well, that pot woulda been SOO sick huge for me!

LOL at this guy gifting me on this river...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441859

Early on in session I got fairly pissed. First I thought this was a donk play by him but he had tons of outs in a reraised pot so w/e...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1441881

I can now go to sleep happily tonite!!! :) lol Variaceaments
*O btw High Stakes Poker on tonite sooo happy; I unfortunately missed first episode(s) so can't wait to see this game get huge- 500k min buy in now jeeeez

Unblievable retarded night of PLO

Ok so, just sat down at ONE table of PLO. Played for 40 mins. Got cold decked like hell. Flopped trips in reraised pot on drawy board and lost to AAxx with a gutshot. Then on a flop of KT6 two hearts, one guy donked 2/3 pot, i repotted, another guy shoved, guy who donkbet folded, i obv called. Turn blank riv heart. He has ATxx with hearts. Lovely. Another hand- in a reraised pot I flopped the STONE NUTS with the redraw to make a higher straight. Guy open pushes into me on the 467 board ( i have 589T or something). I snapcall obv, spade spade rolls off, he has JT56 with two spades. There were a few other beats that ultimately took me down fucking 6 BI. Completely sickening. Played LHE and some NLHE and probably broke about even or lost a few hundo. Roll to start= $14.4k. Roll to end= 12k!! FUCk!! Do I still want to play PLO seriousyl the swings r pissing me off it's whoever can flop best- tho people play it badly I mean I have to practice game selection I guess w/ known donks. If there's not ag ood game running, ill just play NHLE. In fact, I should ONLY play 2/4 6max and 2/4 hu since those r the games I play with the best winrates. I'll jus go for MONNIEZ.

Sick Brief Morning Heater

Today played for about 50 mins. In 288 hands I won $1731 @ 64BB/100 lol, plus another $269 from plo. Played 24/18/3. That's pretty tight for me and a bit less aggressive than I normally am. The key to a good heater is not necessarily hitting hands, but just having ur hands hold and people not cooler u. I did not lose a single big pot today :) (75BB+). Roll=$13.4k! In a $44 6max tourney rite now with 151 people, first pays $1600. This one's for fun and shouldn't last TOO long.

*LOL while writing this post I raised to 100 w/ one limper at the 6max with 55 (Im gonna play a bit gamblish here. Neway, some overshoves, I take the coinflip gamble and call w/ 55. I'm up against the huge K9offsuit lol! I win the flip :)

HH: Just thought this hand was funny. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1439096 (from last nite)

Nasty call with A high I made here. He's not vbetting Jx obviously, 7x woulda probably raised the turn, and Qx probably doesn't bet this river unless it's for a bit less (like $110-$135). If he bet between those amounts I woulda folded, but fo4 $150 it just seemed like straight draw.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1439993

Coolered him HU- we have history and I busted him yesterday for about $350. He was berated me in chat tho I made nasty calls and plays on him. Neway, I didn't stick it in on flop because I've seen him do this as a bluff (this raise size on flop). http://www.pokerhand.org/?1440173

He tried to make a hero riv call. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1440176

I can't blame him for flatcalling preflop- i got lucky postflop and busted him. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1440178

This sesssion everything just clicked- won 4 big pots and played great poker (hard to play bad when everything's clicking tho). Also took down lots of pots with cbets. I wish every poker session wuz like this poker would be EEEZ I'd move up from 2/4 so fast haha.

Cooled off From Last Post but sick variance today

Ok, to be honest, no matter how optimally one plays, the swings at $2/$4nl for a college kid are pretty sick. They're sick for almost anybody that is not rele wealthy. I swing QUITE a bit of money- within a session I'll swing probably around $2200 on average/5.5BI. I used to swing MUCH more, but I'm not making as many crazy squeezes and all. Many interesting hands from tonight's session.
PT stats: played 1k hands in about a 1 hour session, playing 32/27/4.75 winning $1688 @ 7BB/100. Definitely was gettin tilted at the beginnig vs a guy that wuz COMPLETELY HOLDING THE DECK OVER ME!! It was getting completely sick...

Hands: LOL Nice suckout vs a complete donk. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438947

Felt like 3betting pre- turned out well http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438953

Sorta coolered him- my image was loose at the table so I'm certainly capable of 3betting light and all preflop. To be honest if I was him I woulda 4bet and called shove happily in that spot. I put him more on something like a mid pair and that he would play pot control so I went for full value usin the 'ol poker reverse phsychology. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438954

Earlier in the session (i'll post the hand soon) I shoved over a 3bet with T8o, so here, his call with AJ preflop isn't terrible. He SNAPPed me off tho, so I was scared. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438956

Seriously looking into his soul http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438957

I wuz gettin like 2:1 and he could have much less than like AK or AQ, so considering his range, fairly standard call. He berated me after winning a coinflip lol. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438958

This hand pisses me off sooo much. Who the FUCK sticks in 150BB on the flop with JUST tptk on SUCH a drawy board!!? When I call him he's SOOO crushed 90% of the time, and other 10% I'm on a sick huge draw, as shown. He'd been doing this a lot tho (overshoving scary flops in position after flatting a reraise preflop), so I thought I had to call and gamble even relatively deep. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438959

Such a sick hand, and what's even sicker is that I rele felt he had like AKhh. I had that rele big feeling when the riv came, no lie. Well, we both had monsters preflop and post. He'd been holding the deck over me just like this for a while!! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438962

Disgusting bluff by me, but seriously, I don't understand what he was thinking with the flush draw by betting the turn. The board does not change at ALL, and if I'm calling the flop, I either have trips on the turn or I have Kx and I'm calling again, so w/e. He gets lucky on the riv and I merge my range and shove, expecting him to have complete air (because I just cant call a riv bet so I shove) most of the time or Kx maybe even Ax so he can't call riv shove. Well, he just so happened to have a nice big flush on the riv(!) http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438965

IMO his hand looked so much like JJ or TT after his flop c/rai that I snapcalled his shove. The river pissed me off because 90% of the time JJ or TT is his hand with that flop action and that riv obv gives him the best hand. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438974

One of the hands prefacing the call of my shove preflop by stdjog12. I made a squeeze preflop, he overcalled badly JTs. I cbet the flop assuming they both had mid or small pairs and COULDN'T continue, then after that guy c/rai, i realize he could have like a wide range as far as a flush/straight draw combo, so getting like 3:1 on the call, I called, and he turned over the monster. I did have a sweet 4 outs goin to the riv tho! hah http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438976 I leveled myself- shoulda pitched the hand preflop or maybe called. To be honest reraising with Axs is a real donk move I normally don't make.

Yuck! The next hand I took the EXACT same line with AK on a board I missed and fired the turn, he shoved, river K, and I sucked out on his a9 (he had two pair by the turn) hahaha. He complained in the chat tho he ran unreal before that neway. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438986

Made such a sick comeback vs this guy to end up busting him for his $600 instead of being stuck to him $1400!! :) He instaquit me after this one haha. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1438948

Roll=$11,450 after entering in a $77 and a $33 tourney and transferring $70 away. Total I really only won $1050 so I must have lost $500 or so in PLO...? Don't QUITE remember. W/e.
Wish me luck in tournies! $77 starts in 50 mins, but the $33 has 478 people first gets $3500 so not bad at all- this tourney's more for fun. The $77 6max one I have great memories of because first tourney I've ever won and I got my roll on stars from it :)

*While writing this post, I JUST busted out of the $33 TT to AA very early just because a guy overshoved and looked like a huge squeeze where even tho it was for 75BB, I wanted to gamble early on to get chips and his shove size looked so big that it was normally a case where I'm a 4:1 fav or a coinflip with some dead $ in pot... w/e. I had Full ring tournies!! haha

Fucking Tilted

Poker's unbelievable... if I'm playing to have fun and gamble a bit I swear it's completely fucking retarded. I do so terribly its unbevliable. Roll=$8700. Very tilted that I seriously lost $4k in about 40 mins... HU 5/10 nl and 3/6 plo where a guy runs unreal on me. Fucking hell- imma play some bball and forget about this bullshit. Oh, AND I'LL NEVER GO ABOVE 2/4 NL OR PLO OR HU until I have a decent shot-taking roll!!!! FUCCCk!

Oh, and btw, the $2400 pot that I won at 10/20 nl in last post is still tied for biggest pot ever ($2400). There's a 4 way tie... I thought the pot was $2600. So less pride there :-(. Fuck I'm pissed but still have a noice roll. I get very impatient when I lose and whatnot and it's really pretty much my downfall- especially when I don't think about decisions...

LOL Shotaments and biggest Pot ever for me...

Slightly beats my other biggest hands of all time. In terms of BB, it was a 120BB pot, but at $10/$20, thats ridic significant to me. Oh and btw, beat the LHE games at $5/10 6max for maybe $150, and took hte $10/$20 nl game for like $1250 :). THE Biggest hand of all time for me I believe: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433819

BTW I took a shot at this table cuz i wuz jus screwin around and I saw that all these shorstacking donks came. The table looked so sweetly weak. Grinded up and maybe up about $250 or so at this table and then that hand came up. Very squared on the Q turn because Qx is obviously within his range, and even scarier when river diamond came. I guess he put me on AK because my reraise was pretty big and would shove any non A or K flop. Well, suck it donk. Roll=$12.7k!! Hollaaa

Good way to Start the Month of Sept

PT Overall stats- played 1800 hands of nlhe (and not sure how many of PLO). Played 33/28/3 winning $1030 @ 6bb/100. That means I won $570 today in PLO as well. Roll=$11k :) and I now have 29k fpps. I think with a bit of work and focus I can definitely reach Supernova, which I'm very excited about considering I'm by no means a pro.
Hands:
Sorta thin value shove especially this deep but with the dyanmics of the game it wuz MUCH more likely he had a big draw here. I held :) Very scary hand for me because I wuz stuck and he'd been holding over me for the most part. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433503

Big plo pot where I definitely overcalled and stuck it in on the flop as a small fav. I blanked out... ! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433426

Perhaps a SLIGHTLY loose reraise... but w/e. It's a great hand regardless. Neway, pretty much dream flop with mid pairs, overs, quarter wrap, and backdoor hearts. I wuz small fav vs his set. I HATE his overcall preflop coldcalling a 3bet there that's disgusting... http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433452

He snapcalled preflop, flop, and turn. LOOOOL http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433523

Got lucky on the flop but I think I played it well. I guess if I tried to stick it in on turn it woulda helped, but I thought he would bluff a lot and there really wasn't any cards I could imagine hurting me. Sick hand, especially with how aggro we were getting. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433524

Lol? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433529

SOOO close to folding because at this poitn he wuz actually playing rele tight (at the beginning). Loosened up like an idiot as the session went on. I figured he would vbet a big queen, PERHAPS his first big bluff off session, or an overpair, so, I paid it off. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433531

*Oh, and btw, how I came back in plo was winning a $1900 pot when I cold-called a 3bet oop after limping behind limper UTG+1 with 88KJ 3 clubs (very loose...). Everyone was in the pot so I called preflop. Flop came 856r and I was so thrilled. One guy was all in. The reraiser bet the pot ($600) and I obv called. Turn Kx river 5. He had TT79 with two clubs so I got lucky to fill as a 60:40 underdog :) That pot untilted me in PLO and put me up $600 after being stuck quite a bit...

VERY TILTED late last nite because I wuz sorta bored lol. U think I woulda learned my lesson from a million times before when I lost TONS playign rele late! W/e- I thought he had low spades and I called i wuz very frustrated he wuz a DONK!! http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433543

The game was getting aggressive but his normal line would be to c/c flop with a hand like this. So, I called flop and stuck it in on safe turn, assuming he wuz drawing or on air. He had a pretty decent hand and held. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1433544

So those are the ups and downs of my sessions, but I finished in the green.

In conclusion on the month of August: started out getting shipped $1k probably August 1st...? Played at public comp at retirement home lol. Wuz up as much as to $2400 roll but lost and lost and fluctuated like carzy and coulnd't get anything going. Roll was $875. I enterd a $77 6max tourney and took it down, winning $4650 and thus getting me a nice $1/$2 roll. I grinded that up, and by the end of August after grinding the mid stakes cash games I earned a roll of $10.2k. Lost ~$800 last nite playing like an idiot, but duno if I should count that. So I technically won $9400 int he month of Sept, which I'm quite happy about. I will play solid with good roll management continuing to grind the mid stakes. Perhaps I'll stop at 2/4 and just grind and cash out periodically...? Who knows. Wish me luck in Sunday Million BTW, I think I'll be playing tomorrow.
