Cooling off a bit... Lost $1k today. Had a $1200 (6 BI swing at 1/2 nl). Ran badly vs an idiot that called EVERYTHING and was very weak-passive. He kept hitting cards over me and I couldn't pair up. He'd check it down with mid pair in a reraised pot itw as good, etc.
Lost a $200 heads up tourney but won a $100 one.
656 hands- 34/31/5 in combined heads up and 6max, tho in 6max probably played more like 27/22/4. Lost $800 at -31BB/100 (lol).
Not angry because I'm still very happy I can play $1/$2nl comfortably. I merely negated yesterday's running hot. Now I completely realize the swings of these limits are so big that I definitely don't want to take many shots at $2/$4nl. At $8k I will take a 4tabling shot, and will have a stop-loss BI of 2, and a stop-win BI of 3. It's more just to see how the games are. If the games r sick juicy, I will stake longer than 3, but these rules are just an outline for the most part.
Luckily I ran well vs a friend and beat him for $530 hu. I ran better than him, but I think we both definitely played well. He's a better player than me, tho I play him because of ego and It's a challenge ;)
Hands:
Coolered him on the riv but someone surprised he made this call. Probably due to the fact that I snapshoved. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396513
This guy played SOO RIDIC LOOSE/BAD/FISHY. He got me pretty tilted after this beat. These are the guys I've been running badly against...I couldn't put him on a hand that I lose to on the river tbh the way he'd been playing. I figured it would be a hand like 69 or 68, maybe even total float. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396169
Rele pushed my equity vs AAxx preflop (obvious AA) and backdoored a straight. Percentages: 55% fav to aces (lol I thought my hand wuz fav... still have a bit to learn about plo). Flop: 80-20 fav aces Turn... Aces 3:1 fav. So yea, I def got lucky but I wunted to gambooool a bit.
Vs this guy I wuz getting sooo frustrated HU I called the river!! Another fucking 2 outer!!! Well done shithead. Plz play me for my house and college fund. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396185
Dodging 20 outs, but I did not put the $ in on the flop. I called the flop and open shoved safe turn... I definitely like this line on boards like these. Stop n Go is an effective cash game play IMO. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1398248 (he wuz 60-40 fav on flop and 57-43 underdog on turn). Tho he was getting the correct price to call turn shove (~2:1).
Shouldn't have tried to bluff in the first place but sucked out vs this RIDICULOUS calling station! Thought he had like 55 or 66 and couldn't call...http://www.pokerhand.org/?1398275
I raised this flop fairly big to look like I had overs, and then I bet weakly on the turn, EXPECTING to get c/rai with like any two. My line looked like weak mid pair or overs because I knew this guy wuz aggro enough to shove on me on the turn. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396070 It's good to set things up in ur head and have them go rite.
Vs a COMPLETE FUCKING Idiot... shoved river instead of flatcalling because I just couldn' tput him on backdoor diamonds- I thought he had two pair or regular 3 high straight. There's definitely value in shoving river vs him. Wonderful peels by him his j4dd obv good on turn. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396411
Had no choice but to bet and commit myself to this flop IMO. Wondeful what he called the reraise with with his stack size. Std 3 outer and I can't suck out to double this stupid fuckface up. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1396391
I hope all the donks who sucked out on me play me again or die a horrible death. Thank You.
BTW I'm only getting pissed looking back on these hands, but having a $5800 roll is still more than adequate and I got plenty lucky in my tourney to suck or resuck out on people a few times that won me tons of $, so w/e. I'll continue to play hu vs idiots but if they keep calling my reraises OOP light, I'll just stop reraising light and play postflop with smaller pots. I'll adapt to the fishies. Hopefully I'll have a nice upswing tomorrow.
