So yea, played some limit, won about $200. Ended up only stuck today in PLO, for about $600 :-(. Neway, while I wuz playing some limit, a rakeback freeroll i wuz automatically registered in started up. After 5 hours of slow and steady grinding, I outlast a field of 1936 players (there were 1937 but i got 2nd place lol) to win $850, and end the day +$250. LMAO at the strange turn of events of geting stuck quick $1k and slowly easing my way to being unstuck throughout the day. I think my MTT game is rele good and I'm making much better decisions; this tourney I wuz DEFINITELy picking up some hands tho, and coolered one other guy KK to AA when we were first and 2nd chipleaders it wuz rele sick. U have to run soo good to win a tourney; I'd say luck first and intuition/knowledge of game theory second. It's impossible to collect chips if you do not at least get to show down a made hand. Yes, you can definitely pick your spots to pick up chips, but at the end of the day it is whoever runs the best wins.
Some crazy hands from tourney:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1112951 This guy had been solid for the rest of the time he wuz in the tourney... im curious y he made this play maybe he thought we were flipping? Neway, started my major run at the final table here.
Major cooler I wuz talking about when we were both fat with chips which RELE put me into a position to be aggressive and grind down the rest of the table. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113134
Heads up, this guy wuz RELE aggro, so I assumed i wuz probably 60/40 or in a flip situation. I wuz getting 1.5:1 on my shove, and I wuz going FTW, so I called and ended up hittin one of my 8clubs+3 J's+3K's=14 outs on the riv :). http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113136
Unfortunately, had false hope from runnin well and I ended up calling a smallish raise preflop and stop n going him on the flop. He ran RELE well this whole heads up session, and flopped top pair on me, which of course he's calling with. I had 9 outs on flop, picked up 8 more outs on turn, and blanked on riv. GG; I'm still unstuck for the day so holllaaa
This is how bad people r in freerolls; with 14BB he flatcalls a button raise from the SB with JJ, then he c/smallish raise on Axxhh flop, and calls off his last 1k chips with JJ to my a6. Turn heart scared me, but luckily the river blanked. He ridiculed me in the chat, saying nice catch. LMAO @ his bad playing. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113166
Big pretty standard hand I lost near the money bubble but I luckily grinded back. I love how the diamond hits the river after I'm drawing dead to make it sting more lmao. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113175
The beginning of the heroic comeback in the tourney. LOL @ calling off that money without getting good odds at all. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113177
My one suckout in the WHOLE tourney. Blind on blind; he had been either shoving or folding... now he wuz raising looked like a suited connector kinda hand that he wunted to play but didn't want to limp and didn't want to risk ALL of his money; I shoved becuz there wuz lots of fold equity preflop, he called and tabled 9's, I sucked out :) yayay http://www.pokerhand.org/?1113180
The final hand of the tourney... stacks were about $1m and $1.6m. He had the momentum pretty much the whole time, not because of outplaying me, but because he wuz definitely getting cards at the right times and I wuzn't hitting the flops. at 20/40k blinds, he raised to 98k on the button, and I called with QThh. Flop wuz K34, two hearts. I decided to jus open shove, and he called with k8dd. I had 9 outs on the flop, then picked up 8 more outs on the turn when the J rolled off so i had OESD and FD, and it was not meant to be as the river was a blank 3. It was a massive overbet, though I wanted to make sure i Had enough fold equity and Ace high or something after cbetting wouldn't feel priced in to calling ashove. It was pretty much a stop n go play, but with lots of uts normally. So, I shoved 900k into a 200k pot. He's going to be folding this flop 2/3 of the time (when he misses), and lets say he flopped an 8, I would be a favorite on the flop with the two overs+ flush draw. I wunted to give myself a chance to win the pot rather than gamble and c/c off all my chips or c/rai on a draw with little fold equity and have A high hold or somethin. I think I played the hand great, jus didn't work out. Tomrrow, finishing hw, studying, 1/2 grinding, and hopefully buyin some more addherol meds before a big Conics test in Math on Tuesday lol. Very interesting day... at least I'm not stuck anymore tho it wuz sorta grueling.
